Products Available in the Kit & Similar Products — ASUS Ecommerce
On ASUS's product detail pages, customers configuring a high-consideration purchase like a gaming laptop often need complementary accessories — a mouse, a headset — to complete their setup. But cross-sell was buried in separate product pages, disconnected from the moment a customer was already deep in a purchase decision. I designed two features for the PDP that surface relevant add-ons at the right point in the journey: Products Available in the Kit and Best Selling Similar Products.

The Problem
Customers configuring a laptop (choosing OS, processor, storage, memory) were making a fully custom purchase decision, but had no visibility into compatible accessories until after checkout — missing an opportunity for ASUS to increase average order value, and leaving customers to separately search for gear that pairs with their setup. Likewise, customers comparing options had no easy way to see similar laptops without leaving the PDP and losing their configuration progress.
The Solution
Products Available in the Kit
A checkbox-based bundle module built directly into the configuration panel, where customers can:
-
Tick relevant accessories (e.g., a wireless gaming mouse, a wireless headset) to add them alongside the main product
-
See each add-on's price, rating, and variant options (like color) inline, without navigating away
-
View a running Total Price that updates as items are checked, with savings called out clearly
-
Add the entire kit to cart in one action via a single "Add all three to Cart" button
This turned accessory discovery from a separate task into a natural extension of the configuration flow the customer was already in.

Best Selling Similar Products
A horizontally scrollable carousel below the tech specs, surfacing best-selling alternatives in the same category — giving comparison shoppers a way to explore similar laptops (different specs, price points, or generations) without losing their place on the page, each with its own quick Add to Cart action.
