Build Your Own Bundle — Samsung Ecommerce

Samsung customers shopping for home appliances often buy more than one product at a time — a washer and dryer, or a full kitchen suite. But the existing ecommerce flow treated each product as a standalone purchase, with no way to combine items and unlock bundle savings. I designed "Build Your Own Bundle," a guided flow that lets customers assemble a personalized set of appliances and checkout as a single, discounted bundle.

01

The Problem

Customers interested in multi-product purchases had no dedicated path to do so. They'd have to add items to the cart individually across separate category pages, with no visibility into bundle pricing or savings until — if ever — they discovered a promotion. This created friction for a high-intent, high-value customer segment and left bundle discounts under-utilized.

02

The Solution

I designed a step-by-step bundle builder that lives directly on the shopping experience:

Progressive product slots

A clear 5-step tracker ("Choose 2nd Product," "Choose 3rd Product," etc.) shows customers exactly where they are in building their bundle, with a running total price visible at all times.

Category and filter navigation

Customers browse by appliance category (Refrigerators, Laundry, Vacuum Cleaners, Cooking Appliances, Dishwashers) and refine by type (Bespoke, One Door, French Door) and specs (Counter Depth, Family Hub™, Capacity), so finding the right product for each slot is fast even within Samsung's large catalog.

Familiar product grid

Each product card carries rating, price, and a one-tap Add action, keeping the bundle-building experience consistent with the rest of the Samsung shopping experience so customers don't have to learn a new pattern.

Persistent progress and pricing

Previous/Next navigation and an always-visible total let customers move fluidly between slots without losing their place or losing sight of what they're saving.
